Our knitting technician Günther had a dream: socks just like Grandma used to knit, made of pure wool, with a cute, retro ribbed pattern.
You see, as an apprentice, he spent years working on charmingly clattery English Bentley knitting machines making socks like that. These machines have long since been replaced by modern ones, so imagine his delight when we were offered a very well-maintained model from 1970. It took a few months of tinkering to teach this vintage machine how to knit the unique shape of our plus12socks’ toe, but we’re finally ready to knit wonderful ribbed socks from almost 100% merino wool (Oeko-tex certified and mulesing-free, of course).
99,9% merino wool (with just a trace of elastane at the cuff)
