We often get requests for socks for specific purposes, like for civil servants, train travelers, or sleep clinics. Yawn… nothing too exciting there. But then came the request from the forest kindergarten. Right up our alley! Highly professional demands: the socks need to be suitable for cold, warm, wet, or dry conditions – in short, highly functional.
And here they are: our new Forest Frog socks.
On the outside, they’re a soft green with cute little footprints from the mysterious forest frog, and they’re mid-calf length so you can even wear them in boots.
But inside is where it gets high-tech:
- Our merino blend is expedition-ready, highly functional, and quick-drying.
- We’ve reinforced the heel and toes.
- There’s an extra plush layer to protect the shin.
- The sole is made of luxurious plush fabric. Perfect for sneaking about in the woods.

Our merino wool plus12socks like to be washed inside out, and they hate getting snagged on scratchy zippers and jean rivets in the washing machine. Our recommendation: Wash socks in a mesh laundry bag. After washing, stretch gently into shape and hang to dry.
